Ben Weaver

Owner / President


Professional:

Ben loved computers as a kid and would always order parts and build his own which naturally led to his college and career choice in the field. He has trained and worked on a wide variety of computer systems and networking technologies. Ben is also a Project Manager (PMP) specializing in Telecommunications and IT. Ben has owned and operated Computer Weavers for almost 20 years and serves as CIO to several Alaskan companies.

Personal:

Ben grew up in Anchorage where he made a family that has raised five children and eight grandchildren. Ben enjoys spending time with his family, playing hockey, and reading.

Bekki Weaver

Chief Financial Officer


Professional:

Bekki enjoys working with computers and troubleshooting. She has government work experience where she supervised the operations of a payment posting lockbox and configured, tested and implemented a new financial software. Bekki specializes in Accounts Receivable and Billing and has excellent attention to detail, customer service skills, documentation, and data entry skills. Bekki formerly owned and operated Habitat Housewares.

Personal:

Bekki grew up between Minnesota and Alaska. She enjoys playing hockey, driving fast cars, and loving her dogs.

Stephen Leininger

Chief Information Officer


Professional:

Stephen has 15 years' experience with IT in Alaska. He has supported many industries not limited to medical, automotive, insurance, real estate, attorneys, veterinary, and many others with their specific industry needs. Stephen also has various certifications in Microsoft, VMWare, and Cisco including MCSE, Security+, CCENT, and VCP. Stephen is also in the Alaska Air National Guard.

Personal:

Stephen is an outdoor enthusiast. He likes to spend most of his time outdoors hiking, kayaking, swimming, doing archery, and traveling new places.

Professional:

Abdel has over 20 years in IT experience and has worked as an instructor for IT training classes. Has managed IT departments and in house company IT, but now enjoys working as a primary on site IT support for our clients.

Personal:

Abdel loves hiking the Alaskan outdoors

Professional:

James has been in the IT field for over 20 years, initially realizing he had a knack for IT at a young age, after breaking his parent’s computer, and fixing it, by reading the manual. After that, he joined the Army in the communication field. Next, he cross-rated to Navy, where he became an IT3 Petty Officer on the MCM-2 USS Defender. After the military, James has trained in several IT fields, which makes him an ideal fit for the ever-changing world of Managed Service Providers.

Personal:

James grew up in Kansas City, MO (Go Chiefs), and is married with one child. His hobbies are plentiful, with most recently, a Roller Derby Coach and Skater, and Lead Artist in an Art Collective.

Professional:

Steve has been working in IT for 20 years. He’s gone from being in-house IT for a small business to owning his own business providing outsource IT services to small business clients. He can support a wide variety of computer-based equipment and operating systems. He is a quick learner and excellent problem solver. Steve’s specialties are Windows Servers and networking.

Personal:

Steve grew up in Anchorage, and now commutes back from Denver Colorado. He enjoys spending time outdoors hiking and riding his motorcycle.

Professional:

Makaila graduated from the University of Alaska Anchorage with a Bachelors in Business Administration double majoring in Finance and Management. Makaila is a very goal-driven and detail-oriented person. She offers a positive attitude with a high enthusiasm for team building and networking.

Personal:

Makaila is Alaska born with a passion for adventure. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two little children they love to travel, camp, and enjoy summers with the midnight sun. When she finds the time, Makaila enjoys reading and watching movies with her family.

Project Manager


Professional:

Cassie has her Masters Degree in Business Administration with a certificate in Accounting. While she has a variety of experience from running operations of various companies, Cassie was the president of an electrical company in Los Angeles Ca. She has 9 years in electrical experience while running government rebate programs. More recently she has worked in telecommunications as a project manager helping map out 5G network throughout Southern California.

Personal:

Cassie is a mother to five children. While raising her children she also has a mini ranch in the making. She loves growing her own vegetables and showing her children how to do the same. When she’s not tending to her animals she is hiking, swimming in her pool, the lake or at the beach, at the shooting range, playing volleyball and/or soccer with her family.

Rick Dennis

Senior Systems Technician


Professional:

Rick came to Alaska in 1994, from Los Angeles, where he grew up. In 1996 as the Internet was catching on, he became the first-ever Webmaster at Alaska Pacific University. His interest in computers and programming allowed him to take on other roles there including Linux programming and email server administration. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to start his own computer support business in 2000. Rick has operated The I.T. Department for the past 24 years. He joined Computer Weavers in June of 2024. He has extensive experience as a Network and Systems Administrator, providing I.T. Services to small and medium-sized businesses in Anchorage and Kenai. His background in Windows servers, Linux operating systems, messaging systems, and website programming gives him a well-rounded skillset for a variety of clients.

Personal:

Rick lives in Bird Creek and enjoys capturing the beauty of the area through photography and videography. He is an avid drone pilot and has published many videos of the Turnagain Arm area on YouTube.com and photos on flickr.com. He also enjoys gardening, cooking, hiking, camping, boating and riding his Harley Electraglide.

Rick has two daughters and five grandchildren. He has lived in Alaska since 1994.

Personal:

On his downtime, Tare enjoys working on home improvement projects, fishing during the summer months, and barbecuing. His passion for these activities reflects his commitment to precision, creativity, and enjoyment in both his personal and professional life.

Dan Church

Senior Systems Technician


Professional:

Dan got into his love for computers as a young child of the 80’s with a Commodore 64 being his first step into the tech world. Soon after he got into Windows and DOS based PCs and started doing his own PC builds in his early high school years. Going to school for MIS, he started his 15-year career in IT doing work for a tourism/freight railroad company in Arizona gaining experience with reservation and many Point-of-Sale systems as well as networking, security, on site servers and video security systems. He also has experience with Electronics, Custom Home theater Audio/Video and has a strong passion for music with two associates degrees in Digital Audio Engineering and MIDI Music Production.

Personal:

Dan has also built a career in music as a DJ in the local Alaska electronic music community getting his start in 2005. He currently plays gigs locally in Anchorage and hosts a monthly online radio show with guest DJs and he helps new DJ’s get their start to help share and pass along his love for the music. His other interests are in Video Gaming, Movies, Camping, and going out and meeting people for fun experiences.
